I am a political theorist. My research focuses primarily on military institutions, with additional interests in citizenship and taxation. I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford.

I hold a PhD in Politics from the University of Göttingen and an MA in History of Political Thought from Queen Mary & UCL. I also held visiting positions at the University of Chicago, the University of Exeter, and the University of Copenhagen. In a former life, I worked for the German think tank Das Progressive Zentrum.
